BEIJING, Jun 27, 2008 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Pfizer China, a subsidiary of world's top pharmaceuticals producer Pfizer Inc., plans to sell and promote its six varieties of anti-tumor drugs in Mainland China via sales outsourcing from June 2008.
It is the first time that the company makes such an attempt and joins hand with its peer NovaMed Pharmaceuticals Inc. Under both parties' agreement, NovaMed will be responsible for distribution and promotion of Pfizer China's adriamycin, dauniblastina, leucoyorin, methotrexate, estracyt, and farkutal, in the inland market. The total coverage ratio of Pfizer China's six kinds of anti-tumor drugs in the domestic hospitals is predicted to rise 30% to 40%, by virtue of cooperation with NovaMed. In fact, Pfizer always improve its global layout through recombination in the past three years. Before this yearend, it plans to close or sell 45 pharmaceutical factories, and its outsourcing business will account for 10% of the total, and two years later, the proportion is expected to hit 30%.
