With the theme "medical technology creates a healthy future", the 59th PharmChina, which kicked off on Tuesday in the Qujiang International Exhibition and Convention Center in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, lowered its curtain yesterday.

The 59th PharmChina has drawn nearly 2,000 pharmaceutical manufacturers, service providers, research institutions and end users.

The number of exhibition booths registers nearly 3,000 with an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters. It consists of chemicals, traditional Chinese medicine, biopharmaceutical and medical technology zones.

The first session of China's pharmaceutical research and development forum has been held during the 59th PharmChina.
