Hyderabad, Apr 8 Suven Life Sciences Ltd (SLSL) has announced that its clinical research division, Asian Clinical Trials (ACT), has entered into a strategic alliance with the Beijing-based VPSCRO, a clinical research organisation (CRO), to conduct clinical trial services in India and China.
The strategic alliance between ACT and VPSCRO will enable the company to offer comprehensive range of clinical services to the global sponsors with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, network of trained investigators in both, India and China, by leveraging their expertise for the conduct of quality clinical research, the company said in a release. Reacting on the development, Charlie Xu, M.D., director, global business development of VPSCRO said, "we are excited to start our collaboration with ACT, a division of SLSL. Together we will partner to build a world class CRO platform to conduct clinical trials in the Asia region." About 50% of global population living in India and China and the global pharmaceutical industry's ever increasing demand to reach out the diversified patient population, the proposed collaboration will provide a platform offering full-fledged clinical research solutions in the Asian region, Venkatraman Sunder, vice-president, ACT said. The collaboration is aimed at providing high quality, cost effective clinical research services with greater speed in patient recruitment from the region, he added.
