HARBIN, China, Sept. 25 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Kangtai Cactus Biotech, Inc. today announced the appointment of John Jing Zhang to the Company's board of directors, effective as of September 21, 2007. Mr. Zhang was appointed by action of the current board of directors and without a vote of the shareholders.

Mr. Zhang was appointed to serve as an independent member of the board of directors as a whole and was not appointed to any committees of the board. As an independent member of the board, Mr. Zhang will be responsible, together with other members of the board, for the Company's overall business development strategy and communications with the investor community.

Mr. Zhang brings over a decade of diverse experience in banking, consulting, finance, and business development. Mr. Zhang currently serves as the CEO of JC Global Capital Partners LLC, a boutique financial consulting firm in Shanghai that specializes in cross-border capital market transactions. Prior to founding JC Global in September 2006, from September 2003, to August 2006, Mr. Zhang was the Managing Director of FirsTrust Group, a US merchant bank headquartered in Atlanta, GA, where he was responsible for its entire China operation. Prior to being employed by FirsTrust, Mr. held senior positions in two other US corporations, ASI Computer Technology Inc and CTX International, etc.
