NEW YORK - Chemical maker DuPont Co. on Wednesday said it settled a patent infringement lawsuit filed this year against Chinese chemical maker Trustchem Co. Ltd., also known as Jiangsu Trustchem Chemicals Co.
Under terms of the settlement, Trustchem will pay an undisclosed fee and make a public apology to DuPont (nyse: DD - news - people ) for losses from Trustchem actions. Financial terms were not disclosed. DuPont filed the lawsuit in March, alleging Trustchem illegally sold agricultural products containing rimsulfuron, which are protected by a DuPont patent in China. Rimsulfuron is an active ingredient in crop protection.
