Havana, Jul 18 (Prensa Latina) Representatives from China and Cuba jointly agreed to produce a Biolarvicide developed by Cuban pharmaceutical company LABIOFAM, to control outbreaks of dengue in the island.
The Chinese group will finance the project and produce six million additional units of biolarvicide. Peng Xin, Chinese general deputy director of one of the companies responsible for the project, told Juventud Rebelde daily today that this is the first cooperation with LABIOFAM, and considered it a good beginning. Created by LABIOFAM 20 years ago, Bactivec is a rapid-action, fluid biolarvicide with spores and endotoxic crystals of Bacillus thuringiensis.
